Black Desert: New Drakania Class Revealed

Image
Greetings, adventurers! The Destroyer of Ynix is upon us! Drakania, the descendant of Markthanan, has finally made her way to Black Desert as its 24th class. Here’s what we know so far. Drakania, the Descendant of the Night Dragon Markthanan, is powerful and ruthless. Like her Guardian counterpart, Drakania also has ties with her dragon ancestry and has fought with all her dragon rage to survive. As opposed to the powerful physique of Guardian, Drakania has a more delicate figure, donning finely metal-plated armor with chains to represent the tough and sharp features of her dragon heritage. In addition, the visual effects and lights that flow through her armor and weapons during combat simulate fire traveling through the body of a dragon before being released out of its mouth, giving Drakania an extra fiery touch to her overall design. Drakania’s Slayer is a two-handed greatsword that excels in close combat. While Black Desert has another greatsword-wielding class – Warrior – Drak

Destiny 2: Season of the Haunted Begins

Image
The Leviathan has returned. For some of you, this may be your introduction to the iconic planet-devouring personal pleasure craft of the exiled Cabal emperor, Calus. For the rest of you who have been aboard before, we hope you have fond memories of its gleaming gold-plated halls, because this ship has come back… wrong. Very wrong. Season of the Haunted kicks off with the Derelict Leviathan entering our solar system and heading directly for Earth’s moon. As it grows near, the dormant Pyramid ship on the Moon’s surface begins to react to its presence. Getting worried? We hope so, because this is where you come in, Guardian. Find out why the Leviathan is back and what Calus wants with the Pyramid ship, all while facing off against Nightmares from our past. We highly advise staying close to your fireteam, not getting lost in the ship’s Underbelly, and focusing on positive thoughts about god-rolls and gleaming Opulent Chests. While this might be one of the spookier Seasons in Destiny 2

Play Roller Champions For Free Now on Xbox

Roller Champions , the high-speed, free-to-play sports stadium game is out now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S (via backward compatibility). Lace up your skates and roll up to glory in this all-new PvP experience. Roller Champions ’ 3v3 matches challenge players to take the ball and keep it for one lap before shooting and scoring in a hoop. You can skate additional laps before scoring to earn more points, but remember that a high reward comes with high risk – if your opponents knock the ball out of your possession before you score, you’ll lose all your progress. You’ll need to master your teamwork and skating skills to handle breakneck speeds, pivot and dodge tackles, and even wall-skate your way to victory. When your opponents have the ball, you’ll have to do everything in your power to steal possession of the ball by tackling them, intercepting their passes, or blocking their shots to stop them from scoring. The first team to score five points wins. As your skills grow, so wi

Floppy Knights – Designing an Approachable Tactics Game

Image
Hi! My name is Chrstian Scandariato. I’m the lead game designer on Floppy Knights , a tactical card battler developed by Rose City Games. The original concepts for Floppy Knights were rooted in games we grew up on, but we wanted to make something new and different that would help the game stand on its own by combining tactical gameplay with card strategy elements. Let’s take a look at how that turned out! “What If We Made Advance Wars , but with Cards?” Our starting point was riffing on our favorite retro games, like Advance Wars and Final Fantasy Tactics, with a bit of newer design from Into the Breach . A key feature in Advance Wars is having all of the information at your fingertips, easily viewing the entire battlefield, and reinforcing your army to win battles. Drawing a hand of cards is random, so the challenge behind the genre blend is what interested me the most. The goal for Floppy Knights became allowing a player to plan a perfect turn with a random set of actions. T
